The Eymard Window
Saint Eymard is central in this stained-glass window which is found in a small chapel in the town of Saint-Romans, France. The calvary set on a rocky hill in a cemetery, consists of Stations of the Cross hewn out of rock and the chapel sits halfway up the hill. At the summit three crosses overlook the cemetery surrounded b an orchard of walnut trees. Following a meditation made at the summit Saint Eymard wrote, “Do not forget my rock and its chapel and the beautiful view… I had a meditation I will never forget.” The chapel is pictured in the window. The top of the window reads, “Through Him, with Him and in Him,” the bottom reading, “Never forget my rock and its chapel.”
