- During the private Mass, Julia Kim received the Eucharist, which then became larger in her mouth and turned into what was described as Flesh and Blood.
- The transformed Eucharist formed the shape of the Sacred Heart.
- Julia Kim reported feeling a strong fragrance of roses and blood at the time.
- Pope’s Reaction:
- He was surprised by the event and blessed Julia, making the sign of the cross on her forehead.
- He also extended his blessings to her family in Korea.
- Later, during the Angelus prayer, he stated, “I too have seen the Eucharistic miracle”.
- In March 1996, during an Ad Limina visit, he told Bishop Guglielmo, “I, too, have witnessed the Eucharistic miracle through sister Julia”.
- He was surprised by the event and blessed Julia, making the sign of the cross on her forehead.
