“If you are looking for vocations, as a community have adoration often every day if possible. Once the Missionaries of Charity started daily adoration, their vocations doubled. I know I would not be able to work one week if it were not for that continual force coming from Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament (during my Holy Hour of Adoration). To be alone with Jesus in adoration and intimate union with Him is the Greatest Gift of Love – the tender love of Our Father in Heaven.” – St. Teresa of Calcutta

Most growing congregations have at least one hour of daily Eucharistic Adoration.
At the very end of this page, is a list of some vocation discernment aids.
The Apostolic Constitution, Vultum Dei Quaerere of June 29, 2016 mandates: “Conclusions and Regulations … Art.6 §1. Each monastery, in elaborating its plan of community and fraternal life, in addition to carefully preparing its eucharistic celebrations, is to set aside appropriate times for eucharistic adoration, also inviting the faithful of the local Church to take part.”
We are happy to assist any religious community in having Adoration or fulfilling this mandate.
We encourage religious to make a daily hour of adoration and to have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament as much as possible.
Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen proposed a daily continuous Holy Hour in the Presence of the Blessed Sacrament for all religious. We need “psychological continuity of prayer” to ward off the octopus of distractions from the world.
Congregations that are faithful to the authentic teachings of the Church, wear a full habit, have a vibrant community life, and have Eucharistic adoration are growing!
The Fourth Sunday of Easter in the Latin rite, widely known as “Good Shepherd Sunday”, is the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. The purpose of this day is to publicly fulfill the Lord’s instruction to, “Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into his harvest” (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2). Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life or secular institutes. Eucharistic adoration increases and blesses vocations!

J. – “Since 1974, the IRL has been a collaborative effort of Catholic bishops, priests, religious and laity to foster and strengthen vocations to the consecrated life. All members of the Church can participate in the IRL’s mission. As Pope John Paul the Great wrote, every Christian is responsible for the consecrated life, and for supporting vocations.”

Below is mostly a list of some of the growing congregations. Some are in alphabetical order and there is an additional list at the end of this page. If your religious community has daily or frequent Eucharistic adoration and is faithful to the authentic teachings of Christ and His Church, you are welcome to let us know. If you have times that are open to the public, they can be added to the Real Presence Directory of adoration sites across Canada and in the USA.
These non-cloistered contemplative sisters, offer their daily prayers and sacrifices particularly for the priests of the Institute of Christ the King and the souls entrusted to them… Their day is centered around Holy Mass and the Divine Office in the traditional Latin form, an hour of mental prayer, an hour of Eucharistic adoration, and the Rosary. Punctuating this rich life of prayer are manual work and intellectual training, including instruction in Gregorian Chant, Latin, Spirituality, Philosophy, and Theology, as well as the learning of crafts such as sewing, lace-making, and the care of liturgical vestments and altar linens.

Their priests and sisters dedicate time to prayer, including one hour of mental prayer and one hour of Eucharistic adoration in the evening, in addition to Holy Mass and the Divine Office in the traditional Latin form. The ICKSP considers the Eucharist the “source and summit” of Christian life, and Eucharistic adoration is a key way to deepen one’s relationship with Christ. Many ICKSP apostolates offer public Eucharistic adoration, inviting the faithful to participate in this devotion and to experience the graces associated with it.

He encouraged a deep, personal relationship with Christ, seeing the Blessed Sacrament as a refuge for the soul. Abiding Presence: Christ our Eucharistic Refuge
- Emphasized Eucharistic adoration as a way to join the angels’ worship and to seek intimacy with God, encouraging regular visits to the Blessed Sacrament. He taught that adoration is an act of recognizing God’s absolute sovereignty and our dependence, leading to humility, gratitude, and submission. He also highlighted that the Mass is the center of the Christian life. - “In 2015 Bishop Frederick Bernard Henry, our Founder, stepped out in faith to take up this challenge by establishing a new religious community that combines the message of The Divine Mercy with a commitment to the New Evangelization for the well-being of the faithful. Through the profession of the evangelical counsels (the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience) the characteristic features of Jesus Christ, along with a contemplative emphasis on Eucharistic adoration, The Divine Mercy devotion, and Marian devotion, our community exists for the greater glory of God, the salvation of souls and the proclamation of God’s infinite mercy, especially for poor sinners and those who have lost hope in God’s mercy.”

Companions of the Cross, a Society of Apostolic life, have adoration and promote it:
The full text of St. Mother Teresa’s urgent appeal for Eucharistic Adoration is here:
“Every Holy Hour we make so pleases the Heart of Jesus that it will be recorded in Heaven and retold for all eternity. It opens up the floodgates of God’s merciful Love upon the world. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth. It will make your soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in Heaven.
“A Holy Hour of adoration helps bring everlasting peace to your soul and in your family. It brings us personal peace and strength. It brings us a greater love for Jesus, for each other, and for the poor. Every holy hour deepens our union with Him and bears much fruit. Nowhere on earth are we more welcomed or loved than by Jesus in Eucharist.
“When you look at the crucifix, you understand how much Jesus loved you. When you look at the Sacred Host you understand how much Jesus loves you now. This is why we need Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in every Parish throughout the entire World. What will convert America and save the world? My answer is prayer. What we need is for every parish to come before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in Holy Hours of prayer.
“On the Cross Jesus said ‘I thirst’. From the Blessed Sacrament Jesus continues to say to each of us ‘I thirst’. He thirsts for our personal love, our intimacy, our union with Him in the Blessed Sacrament. When the Sisters are exhausted, up to their eyes in work; when all seems to go awry, they spend an hour in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. This practice has never failed to bear fruit: they experience peace and strength.
To be alone with Jesus in adoration and intimate union with Him is the Greatest Gift of Love – the tender love of Our Father in Heaven.
“Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration offers to our people the opportunity to join those in religious life to pray for the salvation of the world, souls everywhere and peace on earth. We cannot underestimate the power of prayer and the difference it will make in our world. Jesus has made Himself the Bread of Life to give us life. Night and day, He is there.
“If you really want to grow in love, come back to the Eucharist, come back to that Adoration. Our hours of adoration will be special hours of reparation for sins, and intercession for the needs of the whole world, exposing the sin-sick and suffering humanity to the healing, sustaining and transforming rays of Jesus, radiating from the Eucharist.
“Each one of us is a co-worker of Christ – we must labor hard to carry Him to the hearts where He has not yet been known and loved…But, unless we have Jesus, we cannot give Him; that is why we need the Eucharist. Spend as much time as possible in front of the Blessed Sacrament and He will fill you with His strength and His power.
“Perpetual adoration is the most beautiful thing you could ever think of doing. People are hungry for God. Imagine for a moment that we are living in Jesus’ time and He has invited us to visit with Him and spend some quiet time getting to know Him better. Being aware who He was, we would be humbled and honored by such an invitation. The good news is that Jesus is here with us TODAY – body, blood, soul and divinity – in the Holy Eucharist. Although Jesus comes to us under the appearance of bread and wine, His presence is as real to us NOW as He was flesh-and-blood-real to His disciples when he walked this earth. He can perform miracles, heal us, teach us, and love us.
“We can talk to Him and He can speak to us through His Word and through the Holy Spirit who lives in us through our baptism and confirmation. Jesus has made Himself the Bread of Life to give us life. Night and day, He is there.
“If you really want to grow in love, come back to the Eucharist, come back to that Adoration.”
