33-Day Dedication to Our Eucharistic Jesus with Fr. Jesse Maingot O.P.

Introduction: Join Fr. Jesse and Fr. Ignatius in a 33 day dedication to the Eucharist.

Together, let us ignite a Eucharistic fire in our hearts and learn to receive the graces of the Eucharist!

These reflections are based on the book “How to be His – A 33 Day Dedication to the Eucharist” by Daniel Burke and Fr. Jesse Maingot O.P. , published by Sophia Institute Press in 2025.  “This thirty-three-day dedication is a powerhouse of grace to help you grow in loving union with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist to experience and foster an ongoing Eucharistic revival. Taste the richness of the Church’s teaching on the Real Presence.”

Day 1 Theme – God’s Invitation to be loved by Him

Day 2 Theme – Becoming His

Day 3 Theme – Transformed in Him

Day 4 Theme – “Another fruit of Holy Communion is the deepening bond we have with each other. We are united to Christ. We share the very life of Jesus and are called to His Bride. How do we respond to this call?”

Day 5 Theme – “Today, we ponder the greatest of all gifts: love. The Lord increases His love in us and helps us learn how to love. How will you let this gift of love change you?”

Day 6 Theme – Jesus had a special love for the broken and the poor. One of the principle fruits of the Eucharist is the serving the poor. Our charity  should overflow to the spiritually and materially poorest of the poor. How will you love the poor and broken like the Lord?

Day 7 Theme – The Holy Eucharist strengthens our will. It helps us to stay away from sin. The catechism states, “The more we frequent the Mass, the more we are able to stay away from mortal sin.” How will you be fortified in your will to receive the Lord in Holy Communion and to avoid sin?

Day 8 Theme – Dispositions of the Heart

Day 9 Theme – Living the Word

Day 10 Theme – Eucharistic Lives

Day 11 Theme –  Having a Eucharistic mindset, the mindset of the Saints is a Eucharistic one

Day 12 Theme – St. John Paul’s great desire to see perpetual Eucharistic adoration in all parishes and Christian communities.

Day 13 Theme – In this video, Fr. Jesse speaks about Christ in the desert, through the life of St. Charles de Foucauld and his own union with Jesus. Inspired by his Eucharistic love, this saint is a model of hope. How will you find hope in our Eucharistic Jesus in the midst of suffering?

Day 14 Theme – Eucharistic Eyes.  Adoration is not just us looking at Him, but also Jesus pouring Himself out to us. In the Holy Eucharist, He is looking and gazing at us from the Eucharist in return. How do we respond when Jesus looks at us and draws us to Himself?

Day 15 Theme – Fr. Jesse talks about how Jesus speaks to us from the Holy Eucharist. The Lord teaches us how to listen to Him. How will we learn to listen to Jesus when He speaks to us?

Day 16 Theme – Eating Light: Drawing from the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas, who taught how to understand the Mass more deeply, we learn how the Eucharist is a source of wisdom. When we receive Him in Holy Communion, the Lord is making us wise if we allow Him. How will we use the wisdom the Lord gives us when we receive Him in Holy Communion?

Day 17 Theme – St. Peter Julian Eymard was given the title of Apostle of the Eucharist. His whole life was consumed by the Eucharist. Jesus showed him that, outside of the Mass, the most holy, greatest act of adoration is Eucharistic adoration. An extension of the Mass, Eucharistic Adoration is a beautiful school where our virtue is perfected. How will we allow our virtue to be perfected in us by our Eucharistic Lord?

Day 18 Theme – Towards the Heights:  Through his example, St. Pier Giorgio Frassati teaches us how to make the Holy Mass the centrality of our lives. He was always living the phrase “towards the heights,” striving towards the Eucharist, the source and summit of the Christian life. How will you approach the Eucharistic table and make Him the centrality of your life?

Day 19 Theme – St. John of the Cross, the little Host so close to us. Today, Fr. Jesse highlights the reflections of Fr. Ignatius Schweitzer, co-author of the book, and the concept of Jesus as a door. The Eucharist is a door, the narrow gate that exposes us to the infinite power of God. In Adoration, we are in front of this door that opens into Heaven. How will we enter in through this door?

Day 20 Theme – St. Teresa of Calcutta on contemplative Longing.  Next, we dive into the teaching of St. Teresa of Calcutta. She looked for Jesus wherever she was, and Eucharistic Adoration helped her prepare to find Him in every day life. How will you see Jesus in every person you encounter?

Day 21 Theme – Today, with St. Catherine of Siena, we look at Jesus as the Eternal Sun. Through her example, we learn how to contemplate the glory that is before us in the Eucharist. The next time when we are in Eucharistic Adoration, how will we contemplate His radiance?

Day 22 Theme – On this final day with the saints, we reflect on consuming and being consumed by our Eucharistic Lord. When we receive the Eucharist, we become consumed by Jesus. How will we allow ourselves to be consumed by Him?

Day 23 Theme – For these final days, we will be praying with Scripture. Fr. Jesse helps us to ponder God’s Word and let it ignite our hearts with love for the Eucharist. How will we be inspired by His Word with love for Eucharistic contemplation?

Day 24 Theme – Today, we look at Mary Magdalene and how we can use her example to press into the heart of Jesus. She, who stayed at the foot of the cross, can teach us how to persevere in prayer and Adoration. How will we persevere in our search for Jesus and “press into” the Eucharist?

Day 25 Theme – In this video, Fr. Jesse delves into how God is with us now. When we receive the Eucharist, God is living in us. How will we allow Jesus to take possession of our soul and live inside us through the Eucharistic bread?

Day 26 Theme – I am: In John’s Gospel, we are introduced to the ultimate reality that God is. He is the great I AM. How will we allow this concept that Jesus in the Eucharist is the ultimate reality of all life to impact us?

Deceased Dominican Meister Eckhart is not even mentioned in the above beautiful “33-Day Dedication to our Eucharistic Jesus” video series which is based on a the book published by the reputable Sophia Institute Press – Pope John XXII in the Bull “Dolentes referimus” (March 27, 1329) condemned seventeen of Eckhart’s propositions as heretical, and eleven as ill-sounding, rash, and suspected of heresy (Denzinger, Enchiridion, no. 428 sqq.; Hartzheim, Conc. Germ., IV, 631).
