“The Eucharist is the “source and summit” of our Catholic Faith. But it can be difficult to believe that Jesus Christ is truly present – Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity – when our senses tell us otherwise. Fr. Joseph Gill of the Diocese of Bridgeport explains how we can believe in the Real Presence, through the testimony of Scripture, the Church Fathers, and the many Eucharistic miracles down throughout the centuries.”
In October 2023, Fr. Gill’s parish of St. Jude’s in Monroe, Connecticut expanded from only one hour of exposition on the First Fridays of the month and added scheduled exposition from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Mondays. During Lent, more adoration is also being offered for two hours on Friday evenings. Once a month, they have an evening of adoration, praise and worship they call “Heart to Heart Adoration.”
In 2022, they had Hundreds view their exhibit of Eucharistic miracles. Their diocese promotes it’s adoration sites here: Eucharistic Adoration | Diocese of Bridgeport.
CAMP ADORE, a Vacation Bible School, is offered for the youngsters: “Camp Adore will be a fun, powerful, and inspiring week centered around the Eucharist and will include Mass, Adoration, games, crafts and fun! This year’s theme is ‘To the Heights!’ inspired by this year’s patron, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati!”
